What is a PDO thread lift?

What can I expect before, during, and after a PDO thread lift?
Just before treatment, we will apply a topical numbing agent and local anesthetic to the treatment area. The needle used during this treatment is so fine that is rarely causes any discomfort. However, local anesthesia is provided to ensure the utmost comfort.
The PDO threads are inserted via cannulas, or blunt-tipped needles. Once inserted into the skin, the threads lift the skin upwards and essentially anchor it in place. Then, excess threads are cut off.
Minimal recovery time is needed after the procedure. The majority of patients return to work and most normal activities only one day after treatment. Minor inflammation and bruising are common after a PDO thread lift, but these typically resolve within a week.
What are PDO smooth threads?
Not all threads are for lifting. We also offer PDO smooth threads, which are small single filament threads without any barbs designed to stimulate collagen and support the skin, rather than lift or reposition it. These types of threads can be great for improving acne scarring, defining the vermillion border of your lips, or smoothing lines and wrinkles at the labella and nasolabial folds. PDO smooth threads dissolve after 2-6 months and are a great alternative to traditional filler or neurotoxins. They can also be used in addition to neurotoxin to achieve even greater results. These smooth threads are generally less expensive than other barbed PDO threads. How soon will I see results with PDO threads?
Skin lifting and some of the contouring effects from PDO threads are visible immediately after treatment. Full results from your PDO thread lift can usually be noticed within one to two months of your treatment, depending quite a bit on your age. Your age is one of the leading factors in how fast your body produces new, healthy collagen, which is the protein responsible for a plump, more youthful appearance.
How long do results with PDO threads last?
How long the threads last depends on several factors, including the specific thickness of the threads used and your body’s individual metabolic rate. Most patients find that their threads have dissolved within about six to nine months after their initial procedure.
How many treatments will I need with PDO threads?
The majority of patients experience satisfactory results after just one treatment with PDO threads. We can determine if you need a follow-up treatment in about six to nine months. After that, another touch-up treatment shouldn’t be needed until approximately three years after the initial follow up.

Cancellation Policy Update
If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, you will be charged $25. If you no-show your scheduled appointment, you will be charged $100.
In the event that you arrive to your appointment more than 10 minutes after the scheduled appointment time, you may be charged $25 and/or the service will be rescheduled.
Consultation Update
Your first treatment plan consultation will be complimentary! Any additional consultation will now require a $50 deposit to schedule.
If you decide to book and prepay your service at the time of your consultation, your $50 consultation fee will be applied to that service!
