Laser Hair Removal
Choose Laser Removal For A Permanent Option
Zero Gravity Medical Spa offers two options for hair removal: laser treatments or waxing.
If want a permanent solution, laser hair removal is one of the most common cosmetic treatments done in the U.S. During the treatment, concentrated laser light is beamed into hair follicles, destroying them. The process is quick and precise.
Laser treatment can be used to remove hair from the:

The treatment works well for both women and men.
Waxing is a non-permanent option for hair removal that offers longer term results than tweezing or shaving. Hair will eventually return, but the process is quick and inexpensive. Waxing is a good alternative to laser for small, facial areas like the eyebrows. Click below to schedule an appointment for waxing with our trained technicians.
Is Laser Hair Removal Right For Me?
If you want a permanent solution for hair removal that can be done quickly with few side effects, laser treatments can be an excellent choice. We offer a Free Consultation where we’ll explain the treatment in detail, what you can expect as an outcome, and costs. Then you can decide if laser hair removal is right for you.
What Should I Expect With The Treatment?
Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that requires preparation. You should avoid plucking or waxing for six weeks before treatment. Lasers target hair roots, which are temporarily removed with plucking or waxing. You should also avoid sun exposure.
You may shave 2 days prior to treatment to ensure the hair length is no longer than a grain of rice. The laser will be adjusted to the color, thickness and location of the hair. A topical gel will be used to protect your skin and help light penetrate your skin.
The process is quick; it only takes a few minutes to treat small areas, with each pulse covering an area about the size of a quarter. Larger areas, like the back, may take some time.
Depending on the laser or light source used, you and the technician will need to wear appropriate eye protection. It will also be necessary to protect the outer layers of your skin with a cold gel or special cooling device. This will help the laser light penetrate the skin.
After the treatment, ice packs or lotions ease discomfort. Treatments are repeated every four to six weeks until hair growth stops.
When the procedure is completed, you may be given ice packs, anti-inflammatory creams or lotions, or cold water to ease any discomfort. You may schedule your next treatment four to six weeks later. You’ll get treatments until hair stops growing.
What Are The Results?
Your skin will look sunburned for a day or so, but lotions and compresses minimize this. During the next few weeks, hair will fall out. After a few treatment, the hair removal is permanent.
