Dermal Fillers

Target Unwanted Lines And Wrinkles

Dermal Fillers Northern Kentucky

Dermal fillers are injectables that replenish natural compounds to smooth lines and wrinkles around the face, neck and hands. Dermal fillers are typically based on hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring substance in your skin that diminishes with age.  Hyaluronic acid plumps the skin and helps it stay smooth and youthful looking. It may also stimulate the production of collagen.

Dermal fillers are different that neuromodulator injectables. Instead of “freezing” muscles to smooth skin, dermal fillers fill in the layers of skin around a line, smoothing it out.

Zero Gravity Med Spa offers a number of popular dermal fillers, including RHA, Versa, and Juvederm. These can deliver quick results and a fresher more youthful look with minimal downtime. Like all injectables, the results are temporary, and will need to be repeated periodically.

Are Dermal Fillers Right For Me?

If you have lines or wrinkles that you’d like to diminish, dermal fillers (face fillers) can provide very positive results. They can be used for:

  • Nasolabial folds
  • “Marionette” lines
  • Cheek enhancement
  • Lip enhancement
  • Eyebrow enhancement
  • Hands
  • Undereye

Dermal fillers plump and smooth the skin, so they can provide a “lift” like effect without surgery or complex treatment. Dermal filler technology continues to improve, so a properly trained technician can use fillers to enhance your appearance without an “overdone” look.

What are RHA® Fillers?

RHA fillers are made with a gentle manufacturing process and are designed to be resilient enough to adapt to your facial movement, which may provide a more natural look overall. The manufacturing process helps preserve the natural structure of the hyaluronic acid (HA), allowing it to resemble the HA naturally produced in your skin. RHA features the following four formulations:

  • RHA Redensity™
  • RHA2
  • RHA3
  • RHA4

RHA Redensity (considered to be RHA1) is the only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler that smooths dynamic lipstick lines. RHA2 and RHA3 are indicated for injection into the mid to deep dermis to help correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. RHA4 is intended for injection in the deep dermis to superficial subcutaneous tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds as well in adults 22 and older. We’ll go over all the details of the different types and help you determine which one is best to meet your aesthetic goals.

What Should I Expect With The Treatment?

Treatments are simple and take an hour or less. Before the treatment, we cover your goals in detail, and map out a plan for injectables based on this. Injections are made at specific points in the area being treated, and, after a brief waiting period to make sure you don’t have an adverse reaction, you can continue on with your daily routine. Depending on the area being treated, you may need to schedule several sessions.  And since dermal fillers provide temporary results, we will work with you to schedule followup treatments periodically so you keep an optimum look.

What Are The Results?

You will see some improvement almost immediately, with additional smoothing over several days. There may be a little redness or swelling, but it diminishes quickly.
