Eyelash extensions have a magical way of making you feel more glamorous than you ever thought possible. And who wouldn’t enjoy gorgeous lashes without having to deal with applying (and removing) gobs of mascara and even saving time during their morning routine? If the thought of waking up every single day for weeks on end with full, dark, long lashes makes you as happy as it does us, you should definitely consider eyelash extensions.

What Exactly Are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent fibers that are hand-glued to your natural eyelashes for the purpose of making them look longer, fuller, and darker. These fibers are applied to each of your individual natural eyelashes using a semi-permanent glue.

Extensions can be made of synthetic, mink, faux mink, or silk fibers, and we offer a variety of lengths, curl patterns, and tints so we can easily customize almost any look to fit your individual style. Our specialists will take into account your face shape, bone structure, and own natural lashes when helping you decide on the best look for you.

Are Eyelash Extensions Right For Me?

If you consider your lashes on the lackluster side and you’re tired of applying strip lashes or coating after coating of mascara, then extensions may be what you’ve been hoping for. We will evaluate your own individual situation and make sure you’re a good candidate at your free consultation.

What Should I Expect During The Procedure?

Our licensed lash artist will use sterile tweezers to dip the end of each artificial lash fiber in the lash glue and then safely apply it to your individual lash. In most cases, one eyelash extension is applied per natural lash, but if an even more voluminous look is desired, it may require multiple extensions per individual natural lash. The application process is painless from start to finish.

What Are The Results?

Since lash extensions are glued on individually (unlike strip lashes), they’re very customizable and actually look very real. The absolute best part is that you’ll wake up every day for several weeks with long, gorgeous lashes…of course as long as you do your part to take care of them. We’ll go over every detail in proper care of your lashes during your appointment. The whole process is extremely effective at enhancing your eyes and it looks incredible on just about everyone.

How Long Will Eyelash Extensions Last?

If you take care of them properly, eyelash extensions can last for six to eight weeks until they naturally fall out like your own lashes usually to do. Once they start falling out, we can fill in the missing pieces if you choose to maintain that voluminous look. We recommend a fill-in every two to three weeks to keep your lashes looking full and fresh. You can make your extensions last indefinitely if you so choose by keeping regular visits to have the extensions reapplied.

Can Eyelash Extension Ruin Your Natural Lashes?

There isn’t much evidence to suggest if eyelash extensions affect your natural lash length or long-term health. But there is, however, a very slight risk of developing traction alopecia, which is where your natural lashes fall out as a result of the constant weight of repeated eyelash extensions. But don’t worry—this isn’t a common thing at all. It usually takes years of bad application and improper care for long-term lash damage to occur. And it should go without saying that you won’t find “bad application” anywhere at Zero Gravity. Our designated lash artists are 100% certified in their craft.
